Val Kuck
Winner of the Dreyfus Award
The Dreyfus Award was presented at the ACS Awards Dinner in 2000 with Val giving her Address to the
Division of Chemical Education as part of a symposium in her honor.  The Radding Award was also
presented at a reception where members of the Santa Clara and North Jersey Sections joined with
many of the ACS leadership and “Friends of Val” to acknowledge her great contributions and
achievements.

Val was named a recipient of the Dreyfus Award for
her dedicated and vigorous efforts to make chemistry
an attractive career  option for women and for the
energy and compassion she has shared to improve
the lives of women chemists at all stages of their
careers.

As a Director-at-Large, Valerie Kuck has worked very
hard for the professional and needs of the
membership.
